Ready to start calving soon! Our heifers are a breed called Salers. They are known for their calving ease, maternal instincts, range hardiness, and performance in the feedlot and on the rail. These heifers are gentle and easy to handle. From our herd that has been closed since 1986. We have selected our cattle for calving ease, good disposition, maternal characteristics, performance traits, and longevity. They average around 940 lbs. Currently eating grass hay with some alfalfa. They are moderate framed and in moderate flesh. Mostly polled, and the remainder are dehorned. About half are black and half are red. Will start calving April 25th for 90 days.
