Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential and commercial painting, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality work. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring that all projects meet our standards of excellence. The Painter will work in a residential apartment complex.
Responsibilities
Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, and patching as needed
Apply paint using brushes, rollers, and airless paint spraying techniques
Mix paints and match colors according to color theory principles
Read blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements
Perform plastering and caulking tasks to ensure smooth finishes
Execute trim carpentry and fixture installations as part of the painting process
Collaborate with construction teams on-site to ensure timely project completion
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
Follow safety protocols while working in various environments, including residential and industrial settings
Experience
Proven experience in residential painting projects
Familiarity with construction estimating and basic math skills for project calculations
Experience with painting tools and projects
Ability to perform maintenance tasks related to painting and construction projects
Previous construction site experience is highly desirable
