My plan from the beginning was to resell the phone after the promotion requirements were met.
To qualify for the carrier unlock from US Mobile, I had to activate the phone and keep the service active for 2 months. Because of this, I had to open the original box to set it up and complete the activation process.
The phone itself is completely unused — it has been in its box for 2 months, no apps were installed for personal use, and the original factory screen protector sticker is still fully intact on the display. It was only powered on briefly to complete the activation and unlock process required by the carrier.
Once the 2-month period was fulfilled, US Mobile unlocked the phone, and I transferred the service as soon as I was able to. The phone is now fully unlocked and ready to be used with any carrier. US mobile has not added a logo or anything else to this phone. It is exactly as all other brand new Samsungs are and it still has 10 months left of Samsung's warranty.
