I have a brand new Gabb Phone 4 purchased a couple of months ago, still in the shipping box, never opened. Purchaser would be allowed to watch me open it in their presence after cash payment is shown to me in front of my local sheriff's department. I bought the phone as a gift, but the person I bought it for was never allowed to use it, so I never even took it out of the box. Includes a protective case and a screen protector.
Please check Gabb.com for all the details of what this phone is good for, but basically it is a phone that is safe for most young children to have in their possession, as it allows zero access to the Internet; it is good for talking and texting (including group texts) and sharing photos, and that's about it. It does have a map app, but the map shows no liquor stores, tobacco/vape shops, "adult" places of "entertainment," etc. The makers of the phone have gone to great lengths to protect the child from anything a parent wouldn't want the child exposed to.
It has the added benefit of being able to track the child so that the parent always knows where the child is. It can be set to send an alert to the parent's phone if the child leaves the physical boundaries set by the parent. You can also block certain people from being able to call your child, if desired.
Gabb is its own service provider (not Verizon, AT&T, etc.), and you must purchase a monthly plan (3 options) and activate the phone for it to work.
If interested but you have ANY questions, please refer to the Gabb website rather than asking me, and VERIFY my description, as I am speaking from my recollection of what the website says. Become very familiar with what you are purchasing before committing, as there will be NO refund if it doesn't do what you want it to do.
