I offer two grades of Corvair engine rebuilds. These should be considered "engine replacements" and are sold as "long block" engines. These do not include the items you already have as a part of an installed engine. These include: Sheet metal, carburetors, exhaust manifolds, alternator/generator, fan and pulley and cap and wires.
1) Top End Rebuild. New pistons, rings, bored cylinders, remanufactured cylinder heads, all gaskets and seals. I do not split the cases for this level rebuild. I then test run this rebuild on one of my test stands in your presence, where we verify oil pressure, cylinder compression and any oil leakage.
2) Same process as the "top end rebuild" but with the exception of reground crankshaft, new main and rod bearings, new camshaft and gear, lifters, pushrods, rocker assemblies, harmonic balancer and all aluminum castings professionally cleaned. These are essentially new engines. The cost for this level of service is $5900. All engines require a $500 exact engine refundable core. All of these engine can be crated and shipped at the buyer's expense.
