The goal of this project is to manufacture and install thirty five cabin rental units, varying from one to three bedrooms in size and application. My company has forty years experience in the millwork and construction industry, plus twelve years of designing, fabricating and renting portable cabin units for oilfield, weekend homes, small business offices, hunting cabins etc. As the economy seems to be on a downhill slide and may continue such for a while, many people are looking for lower cost or downsizing opportunities. These ''communities'' include amenities such as playgrounds, storm cellars, laundrys, cafes and more that could be implemented in numerous areas around the country. The smaller project outlined here would be a starter system to fund and kickstart other communities which in turn would be more profitable and lead to even more endeavors. These housing units would also do well in vacation and tourism locations as short term rentals especially when the economy is stronger and more people have disposable incomes. The land on which to construct this first small community is truly most convenient, being within a mile of our facilities and has the blessing of the city inspector to proceed and develop and already has most of the infrastructure required . This means quicker start up and transport and installation once units are complete in our yard. I estimate the first unit could be placed three to four months after funding, with an additional unit being placed approximately every four to eight weeks depending on size. These will rent for $800 to $1200 monthly, with income being available as soon as the first unit is set up. There is definitely a void here locally for rentals and a need for such housing. The city inspector here does not allow mobile homes in city limits, yet will gladly approve our structures as they are not mobile homes but very well built and attractive small portable housing manufactured to be transported. We can construct as large as 1,440 square feet, while most are in the 600 to 1,000 square foot range. This project needs $2,000,000 available as half to start and half well into construction.
